WNC: From Strength to Strength

The first few months of the season are done, and the Welsh National Championships have been an incredible success.
The WNC now represents over 600 members from across the country; seven different clubs, and a host of regional tournaments. It's truly amazing to watch.
This weekend the WNC South and West will be running their May (17th and 18th) events. Contact your regional captains for more information!. Be sure to support them, share your experience and let us know if you want the WNC to support your club!
Community event
We celebrated our first community-wide event in the North last weekend with 30 gamers turning up to test their metal.
The Winners
The league tables are starting to hot up and you can really see the improvement of our membership. New names are starting to sneak up the leader board and enter podium positions. This means our sport is in a healthy place and our drive to improve skills across Wales is starting to take effect.

First place received an Elite Gaming mat courtesy of Hot Dice Games, and the runners up each received community objective markers.
For best in faction we put our hands together for Fer Sariano (Best Space Marines), Nathan Evans (Best Xenos), Rhys Mollison-White (Best Chaos), and Kevin Hughes (Best Imperium).
Note the stylish daffodil on Rhys! A punishment (reward?) for turning up late to the event and ruining people’s hobby with his mortal wound bombing, Death guard.
Thank You
The WNC would like to thank everybody who attended and the new venue for the great time we had. A special thank you to Ben Lane, the new Captain of North Wales, who managed the event with grace and a level head.
The next WNC North event will be in June, which will be a special fund raiser for Team Wales 40k as they enter the final months before the WTC in Leoben, Austria, in August.
