The Battle of the Brushes results are in!

ree

Wrexhammer Gaming Club, is proud to present the results of the inaugural Battle of the Brushes painting competition, in association with 4th Planet Games and Red Dragon's Vault.

As a reminder, the categories were...

Single miniature:

One mini, from 25mm-32mm scale which could be anything, from any universe. For example, a Space Marine, Star Wars Shatterpoint, or D&D character, to name just a few.

Squad/Diorama:

This category was for those wishing to give themselves a challenge. Either showcasing several miniatures separately or creating a thematic scene, all on one base.

Large /Vehicle:

Examples of large models include Primaris Dreadnoughts, Primarchs, Daemons, big dragons, and vehicles (anything that can be considered a vehicle, including cars, tanks, and planes.)

Junior (U16):

The idea behind this category, was to encourage the younger generation of up and coming painters to show off their skills.

Public vote:

Completed models were displayed proudly at two local games stores in Wrexham city centre, Red Dragon's Vault and 4th Planet Games.

Both stores kindly offered to be a part of this adventure. There was a ballot style voting system in store, where patrons voted for their favourite entries.

The winner of each category was entered in the Best in Show competition. A panel of judges then scrutinized the finalists' pieces, selecting an overall winner, who received a very special prize!

Thank you to everyone who entered Battle of the Brushes. The number of entries and the standard of painting were outstanding and it was a joy to see the local community enter into the spirit of the competition.
