Do you own any games that never make it to the table, as they either take too long to set up, or you can’t find any willing victims….erm, I mean players! Well here’s your chance to dust them off and play with some like minded people.
By popular demand we are putting on a Games Day, on Saturday 24th February, at our home, Wrexham Lager Club.
We have booked the venue for the whole day, from 11am until 10pm and there is even a licenced bar. A full day of gaming and booze. What more could you ask for?
Admission is FREE and there will be a wide selection of games to choose from, including Zombicide, Twilight Imperium and HeroQuest.
Club member, Ian Adams, will introduce players to the tabletop skirmish game, Burrows & Badgers. Ian, will also be running a one-shot for the Call of Cthulhu RPG, lasting around four hours, for six players.
We also have space available if you want to come along and run your own game - just drop us a message with what you would like to run, what time you want to run it and how many players you need/want to play it.
Between sessions, you are welcome to play such dexterity games as Jenga, and Broxic - Tetra Tower, along with other small games which we will provide.
To secure your place at Wrexhammer Game Day, sign up here. Below are some more details about the games on offer. Burrows & Badgers Burrows & Badgers, is a tabletop skirmish game of anthropomorphic animals, that takes place in the Kingdom of Northymbra; a realm populated by mice, badgers, moles, toads, and numerous other beasts. Your tabletop becomes part of the Kingdom of Northymbra, the scene of the action, with ruined buildings, haunted forests, and misty marshes, where the skirmishes and battles happen. The aim of the game is to defeat your opponent, while keeping your characters alive and developing their skills and abilities. You can find out more about Burrows & Badgers, on the Goonhammer website.
Call Of Cthulhu - Dead Light, A one shot for 6 players lasting approximately 4 hours.
Survive one night outside of Arkham. The storm has been brewing for days and now it hits!
Combined with restless, idle youth and the desire for easy money, something has been released out there amid the darkness, the howling wind and lashing rain.
Dead Light, is an adventure scenario for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying system, designed to be played in one or more gaming sessions.
An exercise in Lovecraftian-flavoured survival horror, the unwitting investigators are caught up in a spiral of terror, where only their quick thinking, and courage, will see them through until the clouds clear and a new dawn beckons.
HeroQuest
HeroQuest, is designed for 2 to 5 players, with one player taking on the role of the Game Master (also known as the Evil Wizard), while the others control the heroic characters.
The goal of the game is straightforward – the heroes must navigate through dungeons, complete quests, and ultimately face off against the forces of darkness controlled by the Game Master.
The game unfolds in a series of quests, each with its own objectives and challenges. Players explore modular dungeon tiles, revealing rooms and corridors as they progress. Combat is resolved using custom dice, and characters gain experience points and treasure to improve their abilities.
Zombicide
Zombicide, is a cooperative board game with miniatures for 1 to 6 players.
Choose your revengeful survivor of a zombie apocalypse!
Find weapons, shoot zombies, gain experience and customize your heroes: the more zombies you kill, the more they come.
Complete the mission objectives to win the game!
Twilight Imperium For two decades, Twilight Imperium, has thrilled gamers with its grand storytelling and tactical strategy. Now, players can explore the next step in the Twilight Imperium legacy with Twilight Imperium Fourth Edition, an epic game of galactic conquest for three to six players.
Each player takes command of one of seventeen unique civilizations to compete for interstellar supremacy through warfare, trade, uncertain allegiances, and political dominance. Every faction offers a completely different play experience, from the wormhole-hopping Ghosts of Creuss to the Emirates of Hacan, masters of trade and economics. These seventeen races are offered many paths to victory, but only one may sit upon the throne of Mecatol Rex as the new masters of the galaxy!
