🎨 Battle of the Brushes 2025 — Entry Now Open!

Wrexhammer is proud to announce the inaugural Battle of the Brushes — a brand new miniature painting competition — running all summer long from 1st June to 31st August 2025!

Whether you're a seasoned painter or picking up a brush for the first time, this is your chance to get creative, show off your skills, and be part of Wrexham’s growing hobby community.

🖌 What’s It All About?

Battle of the Brushes is more than a competition — it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the joy of painting miniatures. We're here to encourage everyone to try something new, share techniques, and enjoy some friendly rivalry. Oh, and did we mention there are prizes?

🧾 How to Enter

Getting involved is easy:

1. Register online — fill out an entry form for each category you want to enter.
   

2. Paint your miniatures — make sure they’re new pieces painted specifically for this competition.
   

3. Drop off your entries — deliver them to one of our fantastic supporter stores:

   • 4th Planet Games

   • Red Dragon’s Vault

   • Or hand them in at a Wrexhammer Wednesday!
     

Entries will be on display at these locations until judging takes place.

🧷 Categories

There’s a place for every kind of model and painter. Choose the category that suits your style:

• Single Miniature – Any human-sized model (including riders or small mounts/vehicles).

• Squad/Diorama – Tell a story through a group of models or a scenic display.

• Large Miniature or Vehicle – Go big with tanks, monsters, or dramatic centrepieces.

• Junior (U16) – No model limits here — just a chance for younger hobbyists to shine!

• Public Vote – All entries are eligible; let the community crown their favourite!
  

Winners from each category — plus the Public Vote winner — will compete for the Best in Show title and a special prize.

🏆 Judging & Prizes

Entries will be judged by a panel of volunteers from Wrexhammer, 4th Planet Games, and Red Dragon’s Vault. The public can vote in-store for their favourite model, with the top choice earning a place in the final round.

Winners will be announced after the competition ends, and of course — prizes and bragging rights are up for grabs!

📌 A Few Ground Rules

• Entries must be painted during the competition period (June–August 2025).

• You can only enter once per category.

• Models can come from any game system or range.

• Airbrushes and 3D printed miniatures are allowed.

• Digitally painted or paint-printed models are not permitted.
